I conceived of a new way of working chevrons when I was working on a project seemingly remote from ripples. While shaping the top-down raglan mesh Lace Cardi (Interweave Crochet, Spring 2016), I worked increases at raglan points as well as decreases for tapered sleeves. Ah, thought I, what if I used these increases and decreases not for shaping but for stitch patterning? And so began my exploration into chevron variations.
