Also known as the Geminid meteor shower, the cosmic event occurs every December as Earth crosses the orbit of 3200 Phaethon, a mysterious space rock. Some people believe 3200 Phaethon is a rock comet, while others think it’s a near-Earth asteroid. Mount a bike and tear down hilly tracks. Steer into the clear as you conquer tight trails through dense forests and stay dry next to raging rivers. We love Minecraft and we love Pokémon GO. Craft these games together and you get Minecraft Earth. With your smartphone or tablet, turn IRL into ‘IML’ – In Minecraft Life! A few speedy taps will mine the right resources, and then you can get to work on the crafting part. Early on, you’ll build smaller structures, but the more you collect, the more XP you mine and the more XP you score. The second is at the bottom of Mabe Village Fishing Pond. Score the last bottle by beating Dampé’s Health Shortage Challenge. EXPLOSIVE ARROWS Buy bombs and a bow at the store in Mabe Village. The bombs are cheap, but the bow is 980 Rupees! Slash grass outside the store to farm rupees. Move away – it regrows. This unusual sight is a group of sperm whales taking a nap near Mauritius Island in the Indian Ocean! This photo was taken in November 2011, but researchers first witnessed this odd sleep behaviour in 2008. Scientists accidentally discovered a group of sleeping sperm whales when their boat drifted into a pod of six whales, just below the surface off the coast of Chile. The animals didn’t respond or move when the scientists approached them in the boat, but once the boat brushed against a whale, all six quickly woke up. We now know that a group of sperm whales will doze with their tails down, suspended and drifting upright for 10-15 minutes. The whales don’t breathe or move at all during their nap! BOTTLE ROCKET Put a plastic bottle of water on a table and tell your prank victim you will be magically placing a coin in the bottle without removing the lid. Put a coin under the bottle, put a towel over it and say ‘Shazam!’ Remove the towel and lid. When the victim looks inside, squeeze the bottle! TAPE ESCAPE Place sticky tape so it half-covers the spout of a cold tap. When your victim turns on the water, it will direct a spray straight at them, then blast the tape loose!
