During spring’s Design Week, I hosted a talk with top industry names on the subject of Modern Living. Having thought it would be a fairly straightforward debate – modern living equals a live-in kitchen extension and hotel suite bedroom-type chat – it quickly became clear that real modern living is a rapidly changing and very different beast. Simplicity of design and freedom from tech were two strong themes that came through, along with a focus on the importance of colour and a need to be connected with nature.
