Tell us a little about your creative background and how you first got into quilting. I originally started quilting almost ten years ago while I was studying Fiber Arts at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design). My main focus was on print and pattern design and I wanted a way to use a collection of fabrics and to create a finished and functional object with them, so I turned to quilting. I took an art quilt class with Pamela Wiley and from there I fell in love with quilting and made my entire senior collection quilt-related, figuring out ways to utilise the medium of quilting in various functional objects.
