How did you first get introduced to quilting and sewing? My family and I came to Canada as immigrants when I was quite young. My mother took classes in sewing at a local college and found work at a tailor's shop. She sewed our clothes growing up and I learned to sew alongside her. I remember rummaging through her remnants and patching pieces together to make little things. Working with my hands came early and although I didn't know it at the time, I was also practising my sewing. As a keen multi-crafter, you make all kinds of things, from hand stitched bags and fabric baskets to cushions, clothes and blankets.
