OFTEN USE A menu item that has no keyboard shortcut shown to its right side? Add a key combo of your own. But, be mindful of issues when doing so. Menu item names must be entered exactly, including any ellipsis. Duplicated items (such as folder names in Mail) won’t work consistently if you apply a shortcut. Also, try to avoid reusing key combinations that are used already, especially when you want yours to work seamlessly with all apps. We all know it’s wise to back up our computers, and you've probably found out how easy macOS makes it by plugging in a drive and confirming that’s what it’s for. Once it’s active, you can expect the Time Machine backup feature to do its work quietly in the background while you do yours. But when you need to dip into its backups, there are some tricks that’ll help you.
