Ophelia Brings 1920s Glamour To NYC Rooftop Space
Located on the 26th floor of the Beekman Tower in Midtown East in Manhattan, Ophelia opened in February with panoramic views of New York City. The rooftop lounge, a collaboration between Merchants Hospitality and real estate developer Public Agenda, highlights signature drinks inspired by the early-to mid-1900s. Standouts range from the Ophelia’s Ascension, made with Del Maguey Vida mezcal infused in-house with Jamaican pepper, Maker’s Mark Bourbon, The Bitter Truth Jerry Thomas bitters, activated charcoal, and house-made smoked palm syrup, served in a smoked glass, to the Purple Tuxedo, which mixes Empress 1908 gin, Brennivín aquavit, Montanaro Bianco vermouth, Pernod absinthe, John D.
