If Swiss watchmakers were movie studios, Oris could best be described as a mini-major. Oris was founded back in 1904 in Hölstein, a small village in the Jura region of Switzerland that is often dubbed the heartland of the country’s hallowed watchmaking industry. The fledging watchmaker soon became Hölstein’s main employer and the town’s fortunes rose and fell off the back of Oris’s development into one of the world’s largest mechanical watchmakers. Creative high points included the introduction of the Big Crown Pointer Date in 1938, an aviation watch released at a time when wristwatches were a lifeline for navigation. An updated version…

What’s not as sexy, and therefore rarely written about, is the lower back – even though it’s often the weakest link. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW The lower back is like any other muscle – if it’s being worked, it gets tired. If you do a bunch of lunges, chances are your legs will feel…
The Gains, The Risks, and The Reality When it comes to building muscle, gym culture has always had its fair share of debates – none more controversial than the use of anabolic steroids. Walk into any hardcore bodybuilding gym, and you’ll hear whispers of “gear,” “juice,” or “cycles,” often from guys with freakishly developed physiques who claim they’re all-natural. But the truth is, performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) have been a part of bodybuilding for decades, from the Golden Era of Arnold Schwarzenegger to the mass monsters of today’s IFBB Pro League. Steroids promise faster muscle growth, insane recovery times, and strength gains that would take years to achieve naturally. Despite their illegal status in many countries without a prescription, they remain widely used by amateurs and professionals alike, fuelled by social…
