Corduroy can shrink significantly, so we recommend you not prewash these fabrics. Deliciously Mod caught my eye because of its unusual composition using pieced diagonal strips; I’d never made anything quite like it before and it looked really fun and simple to construct. I decided to use the Forest Chatter collection by Maywood Studio for the strips, with its pretty, natureinspired prints and soothing palette. For the squares, the luscious sparkle of the Starlight Metallic collection, also from Maywood, would add dimension, shimmer, and glamour to my quilt. There are 25 diagonal strips in the quilt —and the Forest Chatter collection is comprised of 25 fabrics so I included every print, arranged into a gradient with light cream squares at opposite corners.
