Dear President Cyril Ramaphosa: I refer to previous correspondence to your office, especially my letter of October 29, 2021, regarding the attempted assassination of whistle-blower and human rights defender Thabiso Zulu, and the continuing, very serious, threats to his life.
Since then, as he remains largely in hiding, there have been continuing reports of suspicious activities around his home.
Had he not managed to raise the alarm, in July 2020, about a grossly irregular invasion of his home by SAPS members, and abuse and malicious arrest by them, I believe they may well have killed him.
This incident is currently subject to internal SAPS and Ipid investigations.
