Heavy motor vehicles, office equipment, furniture, appliances and other items will be up for auction at eThekwini Municipality’s third online auction, to be held on March 23 and 24.
Speaking to The Mercury yesterday, municipal spokesperson Msawakhe Mayisela said the city had partnered with Auction Specialist for the auction.
However, Mayisela said the viewing site had changed from Mobeni to Springfield.
“Viewing days are on 18, 21 and 22 March at 11 Electron Road, Springfield from 8.30am to 3pm,” he said.
Nicholas Mkhize, who is the manager of disposals at the city’s Supply Chain Management Unit, said the auctions were held for the benefit of the public.
He added that the auctions also generated a revenue stream for the municipality.
