A HUSBAND is demanding R20 million from Police Minister Bheki Cele for the death of his wife who was allegedly shot dead by the police.
Samuel Nta, of Tembisa in Ekurhuleni, is accusing the police of shooting dead his wife and the mother of his children, Sylvia Sekoadi, during a visit to one of their friends in Daveyton. Nta was a father of two minor children.
Through his lawyer, Makhakheni Mashele, Nta is demanding Cele fork out R20m in damages for funeral costs, for being denied love and affection to the children and for loss of support from the income of his wife’s salary.
