When any physicist thinks of Germany, names like Einstein, Kepler, von Braun, Heisenberg, Gauss, Kirchoff, Fraunhofer and dozens of others jump out of textbooks, astronomy labs and even high school textbooks. Masterful music composers like Strauss, Beethoven, Wagner, the works … all from that same country. And BMW? Volkswagen? Mercedes-Benz?
Hitler did not really have to go to such great lengths and declare war on everything that moved to remind the world that he truly believed that his country’s past achievements were proof that the German mind and body were genuinely superior.
And in his frenzy to design the Holocaust, he stupidly, absent-mindedly forgot that the legendary Charlie Chaplin most probably had some Jewish blood, too, Einstein, too, and he himself – Hitler – too.
