The South African women who marched to the Union Buildings in Pretoria on August 9, 1956, in protest against the extension of Pass Laws to women were, in my humble opinion, totally badass.
And not just South African women. Feminists like Angela Davis, the Suffragettes, Coretta Scott King and so many more, had made it their life’s mission to fight for women’s rights and equality.
What a crying shame then, it is to realise that for the women in Gaza and in so many other parts of the world, this work will amount to next to nothing.
