VITAL STATS Wardens are extremely hostile mobs that live in the ancient cities found buried deep in the Overworld. They are completely blind and hunt by listening for the sounds of their prey. Wardens have 500 health points and their attacks do anything from 16–45 points of damage depending on the difficulty level – on Hard mode they can kill a fully armoured player in a single strike! Wardens spawn when three conditions are met: firstly, the light level has to be below 11, secondly a sculk shrieker needs to be activated by noise at least three times, and thirdly there has to not be an existing warden nearby. ANVILS ABOUT ANVILS A type of workstation block, anvils allow players to spend experience to repair, rename, and enchant items such as armour, tools, and weapons. They slowly wear with each use and will eventually be destroyed. Anvils are stackable in the inventory in groups of 64, but only when they are in the same state of wear. They have an extremely high blast resistance of 1,200, but will take damage if they fall from a great height. COLLECTING ANVILS Anvils are relatively easy to craft – it takes three blocks of iron (9 ingots each) plus an additional four ingots for the base, so a total of 31 iron ingots per anvil. IRON MAN ZONE Iron Man is one of the coolest Marvel heroes, so we’re going to dedicate a section of our world to the Armoured Avenger himself. We’re starting with a big Iron Man statue in an 8-bit style. You can copy what we’ve built or google ‘8-bit pixel art Iron Man’ to find a template you can use. Remember to use concrete blocks for solid, texture-free colours! GOAT HORNS First added in an experimental build some time ago, the goat horn has now been properly implemented for the Wild Update. Goat horns will drop when a goat rams a block, though they’ll only ram logs, stone, packed ice, iron ore, copper ore and emerald ore. There are eight different types of horn that can drop, each making a different sound. Four of the horn types are exclusive to screaming goats, and all horns can be used to make a sound that can be heard far away. FINDING A STRONGHOLD To locate a stronghold, use an eye of ender (crafted by combining an ender pearl and blaze powder). When used, the eye will float into the air, leaving a pinkish trail, before it either drops to the floor or shatters. Follow the direction of the trail, collect the eye (if possible), then throw one again to repeat the process. Eventually the eye will float in place over one spot – dig down here and you’ll reach the entrance to a stronghold.
