OBSIDIAN WHERE TO FIND OBSIDIAN Obsidian is one of the few blocks found in all three dimensions! In the Overworld, you can find it in secret rooms in woodland mansions, as part of ruined portals, and in deep ravines where water flows over lava source blocks. It can also be found in some ocean ruin buildings. In the Nether, Obsidian is found as part of ruined portals and in the End it generates as part of the End ship and as pillars on the main island. Obsidian also appears in bastion remnant, weaponsmith, ruined portal and Nether fortress chests, or as a barter trade from piglins. RELEASE DATE Although we don’t know for sure when Minecraft 1.19.4 will be released, the latest development version at time of writing – version 23w05a – was released on 1st February. Since this is a minor update, you can expect the full release in a matter of weeks. HOW TO USE BLAZE RODS Like many items, blaze rods cannot be used on their own – only as part of a crafting recipe. A single blaze rod can be used as an ingredient to create a brewing stand or four end rods, or they can be used to power a furnace. The most useful thing blaze rods do is get crafted into blaze powder, which is necessary to create an eye of ender, a fire charge, or magma cream. GETTING STARTED To create this dungeon, we’re going to build a series of interlinked rooms, each with their own gimmick or landmark in so that players can explore without getting COMPLETELY lost – but also have more of a challenge than simply figuring out the path through it!
