The regular monthly Mod ‘n’ Mini meet at the Ace Cafe gets even busier every September, as the Italian Job Charity Auction Night rolls into town. Taking place on September 1, this year’s event was even more successful than usual, raising almost £2500 for Variety, the Children’s Charity, on a balmy evening in London.
The auction was once again led by experienced Italian Jobber Roger Hunt, who had cajoled various specialists and individuals into offering some top-notch items. These included a new right-hand fuel tank, two Mini-themed Paul Smith leather wallets, an adjustable suspension kit, a print of 33 EJB signed by Paddy Hopkirk, Italian Job luggage, Sportpack arches, an MPi silicone hose kit, gas berbecue and much more besides! Bidding was competitive as ever, but there were excellent bargains…
