Launched just a year after the Minivan in 1961, Pick-ups are now a rare sight because, despite their small size, that flat load bed was a surprisingly useful space with a generous 26.75 cubic feet. On top of this, they were affordable, and as a result many were bought, used and, sadly, just simply thrown away.
