Highlight of MINI’s New York Auto Show stand, in our opinion, wasn’t a New MINI, but this unique Classic Mini Electric. Revealed at the show, it has been built by MINI to highlight the brand’s zero emissions future and they’ve gone back to the future with this late, carefully-restored Mini Cooper Sportpack.The big difference is that MINI has replaced the familiar 1.3-litre, Twin-Point fuel-injected A-Plus engine with lithium batteries and an electric motor!
The loss of the engine hasn’t hurt this Classic Mini’s performance massively though, as MINI is quoting a 75mph top speed, with a 65-mile range.
