PROVIDING A POSITIVE MESSAGE TO SHARE HELPS PEOPLE ARTICULATE THEIR FEELINGS I’ve always been drawn to art with an underlying message, from European pop art and the Young British Artists’ work to newspaper cartoons. I always knew I wanted to create something I felt strongly about. I’ve been sharing my illustrations online for five years, mixing humour with current affairs. As I’ve become more political, I’ve had a few negative comments, but overall it’s been positive; sometimes surreal. Hearing people at marches chant my slogans is crazy! Events over the last few years have created a huge audience of politically-engaged people, and an endless source of inspiration. My aim is to create simple, uncomplicated, hand-lettered designs, with messages that make people smile.
