AMERICAN SCOTT Rieckens, 35, was drowning in debt, overworked, depressed and trying to afford a luxurious lifestyle, complete with a leased BMW. He and his wife Taylor, with their toddler Jovie, embarked on a yearlong odyssey to follow the FIRE rules.
