I LOVE VISITING NEW PLACES and seeing new things. When I observe different cultures than mine, it widens my perspective. I become more open to contrasting views and choices, and as a result, I learn acceptance. And I delight in trusting Jesus to guide me as I navigate faraway shores.
Right now, I’m planning a trip abroad. We’ll visit Germany, my mother’s homeland, and Czechia, the country where my husband’s grandparents were born. I can’t wait to walk those ancient streets.
So many Bible characters traveled: Abram, Moses, and Joseph in the Old Testament, and in the New Testament, the Samaritan, the disciples, Paul . . . and Jesus. Every time our Lord visited another town, He furthered His calling.
