AS FRESH generations of cars come to fruition, often displayed in substantially larger dimensions, it’s sometimes difficult to maintain a brand’s core values. With the launch of its fifth-generation Legacy, though, Subaru has managed to do just that.
Subaru’s 2010 flagship doesn’t look considerably bigger than its predecessor, but with a wheelbase stretched 3.2 inches and width pushed 3.6, it boasts 9.5 cubic feet of additional passenger volume, 3.9 inches of extra rear legroom, and 3.3 cubic feet of added cargo space. Engineers incorporated copious high-strength steel, a new control-arm rear suspension, and framed windows, making the 2010 the strongest, quietest Legacy yet.
