There was no specific reason—I’m certainly not tech- or social media-averse. In fact, I set up accounts for several of my colleagues when Twitter first got hot, and was an early adopter of social networks from Friendster to MySpace to Facebook, where I’m infamous for my incessant stream of pictures of calorie-intensive food.
But Twitter? Nope, I was too busy, and it, too invasive. My time was better spent driving and writing. Besides, who cares what I think in 140 characters or less?
