It was announced on the Palace’s social media sites last month that keen gardener Charles is having landscaping done at Sandringham Estate in time for the summer visitors. A Lower Maze Garden is being created, to adjoin the Topiary Garden that Charles had added to the West Lawn last year. Sandringham was bought in 1862 by Queen Victoria as a country home for her eldest son, Edward, the Prince of Wales. The Grade II-listed house was passed down to George VI in 1900, who then passed it on to his daughter, Queen Elizabeth II.
