‘It’s due to various factors, a big one being our environment and the rise in pollution. In addition, our lifestyle stressors (hormonal fluctuations) and other environmental factors, such as weather conditions, extreme cold, dryness, and indoor heating or air conditioning. Then there’s smoking, alcohol, poor diet, medical procedures, and even over-processed or exfoliated skin, all lead to sensitisation,’ notes Emma.
