Maintain Normal Work Hours
Creating boundaries helps, especially when your desk, work computer and files are always within reach. Some advice from Dan Schawbel, managing partner of Workplace Intelligence and author of the book, Back to Human: “One of the biggest fears people have with remote work is that they end up working longer, and harder, without additional pay and it can hurt their personal life,” he says. “You are empowered, and accountable, to keep the same work hours that you had in your corporate office but at home. If you work 9-to-5, then mimic that at home, stopping work at 5 p.m. and leaving the spillover work until the next day.”
Plan Your Home Office Space
Don’t settle for the soft sofa. Maybe you need silence, good natural light…
