It’s nearly 60 years—three generations, since Star Trek: The Original Series first premiered, and today fans around the world still watch those early episodes in reruns. New shows, like Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, continue the legacy. There are 947 TV episodes in all, with another Trek series, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, to begin in 2026. Add to this 13 theatrical films and that makes for quite an entertainment empire that Gene Roddenberry built.
The stars of these shows and films are the Captains, and all of them, Kirk, Picard, Janeway, Pike, and others, depend on their bond with a trusted and capable crew. And that is the theme for Rittenhouse Archives’ new set, Star Trek Connections Trading Cards.
