Notable at this year’s MG Classic – apart from the quality of the big fields – was the return of some famous cars from the past. Classic motor racing has returned with a vengeance, if the MG Classic is anything to judge by.
Categories included Formula 5000, Sports Racing, Formula Libre, Sports Sedans (22 cars), Sybil Lupp Invitational – won by Robbie Halliday in his Ford Escort, Heritage Touring Cars (25 cars), Touring Car Masters and NZ6s, Formula First, Historic and Vintage, Historic Muscle, Classic 1 and 2 (35 cars), Historic Single Seaters, Formula Fords (35 cars), Pre-65s, and Super Mini Challenge.
