THERE was a minute's silence at The Garage in early March to mark the passing of Gary Pulley, a Hamilton hot rodder, family man, and panel and painter extraordinaire. Every year for many years, Gary and his wife Elaine would head south to Muscle Car Madness and were always campsite neighbours to The Garage. Good neighbours too.
On their first date, Gary picked Elaine up in a Chevy coupe. They were married around ‘63 and had three daughters. Cars over the years included a ‘34 Ford sedan, a couple of ‘60s Mustangs, a Model T coupe, ‘34 Chevy sedan, ‘48 Holden Ute, and, while living in Brisbane for several years, he began collecting parts for his ‘40 Willys coupe.
