A range of attractions have been given grants from the second round of the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund for Heritage, following the initial round of grants made in 2020, including many heritage railways (see separate story).
Top of the pile comes the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust, which receives £1,140,000. Smaller, but no less important, concerns include: London Transport Museum £875,000; Amberley Museum £34,900; Museum of East Anglian Life £165,105; SS Great Britain £440,000; Bursledon Brickworks Museum £24,900; The Long Shop Museum, Leiston £31,618; Transport Museum Wythall £42,500; Hollycombe Steam in the Country £133,600 and SS Shieldhall £61,200.
