The name change is more than cosmetic and marks a deliberate repositioning as a standalone wholesale force in the tactical, hunting, and sporting segments. “The name was quite old, and we needed to establish a brand name that stresses that we are, in fact, a standalone wholesale entity trading with the entire market,” says MD Hilgard van Niekerk. The IPRF announced that Great Britain and Northern Ireland will host the 2025 PR22 LR World Championship. The Great Britain Precision Rifle Association confirmed their successful bid on 5 May 2024 and will oversee the event’s organisation. It was again exciting to be part of an IPSC national match, hosted by the Limpopo Province Practical Shooting Association (LPPSA), at Polokwane Shooting Range from 12 to 13 July. The course of fire provided for 12 stages, of which seven were shot on the first and five on the second day. A week before the match we had a veld fire that almost destroyed the newly built ranges, but thanks to a few faithful and fast-acting members, the fire did not spread, and the target stands and barricades were saved. Entries only included semi-auto-open and semi-auto-standard rifles. On this occasion no manually operated rifle entries were permitted.
