Creating our piece on Global Rituals helped reinforce this for me – regardless of cultural, geographical or religious backgrounds, rituals have always played a crucial role in our lives. While, historically, they were often grounded in spiritual practices, they usually have common threads that are relevant – and important – to all of us: happiness, health, love, forgiveness, thankfulness, connection, community and a general knowing and desire for oneness.
