Whether it’s a week-long holiday or weekend break, by travelling to a mountainous region like Snowdonia National Park in northwest Wales you’ll be spoilt for choice, with masses of amazing scenery to capture. In fact, we’ve managed to cram in a whole day’s landscape photography by shooting from sunrise to sunset in some truly stunning settings on and around Mount Snowdon, the UK’s second-tallest mountain. This is, however, as long as the weather plays ball. Mountains create their own climate, and rain, wind and clouds can appear from nowhere. In early May, we arrived the evening before to be greeted by heavy, freezing rain and gales, but thankfully our photography day was blessed with some lovely sunlight (although it was still pretty windy) and moody clouds.
