To stay happy and healthy out in the field, your horse needs these basics: Water. “Access to water is essential, so we have automatic waterers,” Biscuit Hill’s Beth Manning says. Winner’s CIRCLE Young Talent Shines at NAJYRC Junior riders (age 14 to 18) and Young Riders (age 16 to 21) competed in dressage and show jumping at the Adequan/FEI North American Junior Young Rider Championships, presented by Gotham North, July 18–23, at HITS-on-the-Hudson in Saugerties, New York. For the first time, the championships included a show-jumping competition for riders age 12 to 14. Traband Earns USHJA Scholarship Elizabeth “Lizzy” Traband, of Centre Hall, Pennsylvania, received the $25,000 USHJA Foundation Hamel Scholarship for Further Education in mid-July. The 18-year-old, now a sophomore at Pennsylvania State University, rides on its equestrian team and is working toward a business degree in corporate innovation and entrepreneurship.
