There are many factors that can affect your fuel consumption, such as vehicle weight, engine size and power output, mechanical drag, speed of travel and the biggest of all, wind resistance.
I’ve talked about fuel consumption many times before, and perhaps for some motorhome owners, it is not the top priority.
In fact, a couple of years ago, I added a tuning box to our own motorhome, the Duchess, in an attempt to improve the performance, specifically when towing my race-car. These devices are often cited as giving an improvement in fuel consumption.
Fuel consumption is not a significant factor in our enjoyment of the Duchess, for several reasons.
