Big is beautiful, they say! Nevertheless, there has been a trend of late for motorhomers to gravitate towards smaller vehicles.
While I can understand their attraction (there is, after all, a lot to be said for having a more manoeuvrable vehicle, and they are invariably cheaper to buy and run), I still think larger motorhomes have their own special appeal. Take, for example, David Dowling’s recent adventures across Germany (p46, and by the way, what a trip!) in his A-class Carthago liner-for-two. In terms of space, the advantages of a large motorhome such as this seem undeniable – especially on an extended tour. That’s particularly true in North America and parts of Europe, which seem to cater much better for more sizeable vehicles.
