The number of new tractors registered in Italy last year slumped by 12.9% to 17,613 units (20,211 in 2022), ending two years of consecutively high sales volumes.
Registration data produced by the FederUnacoma, the Italian manufacturers association, shows that it was mainly the medium-power segment that was affected in 2023 with registrations of sub-75hp tractors down -5.0%, 76hp to 174hp (-23%) and above 175hp (-14%). The slow down in the domestic tractor market in 2023 is blamed on the unfavourable economic situation, combined with the delay with new government incentives.
