John Deere headed new tractor registrations in a dozen European markets last year, including the main one of France. The company registered 7,179 units and a leading 20.1% share of the 35,665-strong French market, and also topped the charts in Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Hungary, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden and Spain.
In Germany, Europe’s second largest tractor market, John Deere secured second spot with 5,899 and 19.4% of the 30,345 units. Despite a 17.2% fall in registrations from 2,011 units in 2022 to 1,666 in 2023, the brand also enjoyed second place in Italy, Europe’s third largest market.
New Holland headed the tractor markets in Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and Slovenia, and while fellow CNH stable mate Steyr retained pole position in Austria with 833 units (874 in 2022).…
