Approx 6.5% fewer new (50hp+) tractors were registered in mainland Europe in 2024 and a total just under 140,000 units. Spain, Portugal and Belgium bucked the trend, but registrations were down in all other countries, including the big three markets of France, Germany and Italy.
France remains the most important market, accounting for 33,225 (-6.8%) units. There was a -3.4% drop in the second largest market of Germany (29,315), and despite the 12.3% dip in the numbers, Italy held on to third spot with 15,448 units (17,613 in 2023). When lumped together, these three markets accounted for 77,988 of total (83,623 in 2023) registrations in mainland Europe last year.
