When you think of Alaskan winter nights, what comes to mind? Frigid temperatures? Wind whipping snow around? The darkest skies and brightest stars you’ve ever seen? While that’s accurate, quilter Hannah Parks also lights up Alaskan nights with bold jewel tones, improvisational patterns, and exuberant creations.
Originally from Michigan, Hannah lives in Kenai, Alaska (population 7,424) with her husband, Jason, and their young children, Leo and Bea. During the summer, Hannah and her family spend the long days outside enjoying nature. “This past summer, I don’t think I turned on my sewing machine for two full months!” she says.
