On August 31, 2019, Icom announced the IC-PW2 1kW Linear Amplifier at its booth at the Ham Fair 2019. It has a full-power/full-duty specification that uses LDMOS for the final output and 1kW output, even for long-term transmission. The device is equipped with an antenna selector that can connect two exciters and six antennas. It is said to be effective in contests and multiband operation.
