GW Railwayana Auctions held its latest live internet and email sale of 800 lots over two days on November 11/12.
The star item of the sale was undoubtably a Crianlarich Lower totem, which was keenly contested to £30,000. Scottish signs were popular, with a black and white Kyle of Lochalsh, complete with stag emblem, reaching £4000. Both of these signs set new records for their category.
Demand is still proving strong in all categories of railwayana coming onto the market, despite the cost of living issues currently affecting much of the country, with very few unsold items.
