Things are roaring on apace. We’ve covered quite a few general aspects so far and this month I’m going to delve into a few details. Which of course, is where the Devil lies… I don’t believe in the Devil, obviously, but I do believe in details. As I’m sure I’ve mentioned before, there are two main criteria to building a nice bike.
Firstly, the stance has to be right. Call it the profile if you like, the way the whole things sits, the lines, the flow. Ideally you could spray the whole thing matt black from stem to stern, or back-light it so it’s just a silhouette, and it would still look good. If you don’t get the stance right, you’ll never build a decent looking bike.
