ATLANTIC ODYSSEY MAKES LANDFALL The 36 sailing yachts, which make up the Atlantic Odyssey, have made landfall in beautiful balmy Barbados. The arrival follows an epic 2,700 mile passage, across the unforgiving waters of the Atlantic Ocean, from the Canary Islands. Sea Dragon won the day as the first yacht to arrive into port. Good winching techniques are essential on any boat – and especially so on bigger boats where the loads are greater – not least to ensure safety and to avoid personal injury, but also to make life easier for the crew and avoid inconvenient issues such as riding turns.
