Where do you get your knitting inspiration? Over the past few days I’ve been adding yarn and craft show dates to my calendar. I enjoy being on the move and outdoors during the warmer months, and find it hard to stay away from the lure of squishable yarn and a chat with fellow knitters. More shows these days include areas for children’s crafts and I’m thrilled to see how many little ones are eager to pick up needles and cast on with just the smallest amount of encouragement – new generations of knitters always have the most original ideas too! MATTRESS STITCH Thread your yarn on to a needle, then weave along an edge to where you want to start.
