Simply Sewing is a practical magazine for makers who sew, or would like to start sewing. Its contemporary look and feel, fresh attitude and ideas, beautiful photography and inspiring projects will have you behind the sewing machine from the get-go!
This issue is packed with projects for your home and wardrobe as well as some great reads, including our Sewing Bee debrief. It’s been another brilliant series, and although we’re sad it’s over we can’t wait to see what they all get up to next! Our cover project is the Lottie Dress from Sew Over It, it’s the perfect elegant and easy wear for warmer weather. We also have four other patternless garments for you to try. We love these because they’re super quick and versatile – and you don’t need to use a paper pattern! Find our apron, pyjamas, summer cover-up, and girl’s polo shirt dress inside. A huge thank-you goes out to all of our contributors who have gone above and beyond, turning their hands to photographing, styling and even modelling. Talking of which, I'm chuffed to have sewist, and pal, Lisa Comfort on our cover – a collaboration that speaks volumes in the power of working together in a time of crisis. Enjoy!…

Paulette is the voice behind the Petite Font blog. Her sewing journey was kick-started in 2016 after watching The Great British Sewing Bee on YouTube when she needed an escape from the stress of planning a wedding. But when the stress faded, the sewing stayed! Petite Font is another venture that began as a means to an end when Paulette needed an outlet for her energy, and another one that's stuck! It's Paulette's third blog and one that has become an active and valued voice in the sewing community. Paulette is one of the volunteers who helps run one of the longest-running sewing challenges out there. Sew My Style was launched in 2017 and was designed to raise awareness about the slow fashion industry and to encourage young women to…
