The Photographic Society of India, one of the oldest photographic societies in the country, organised its 17th International Salon of Photography at the Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai from 22 to 28 January 2019. The competition, under the guidance of Salon Chairman Dr. Avanish Rajan and Salon Secretary Vaibhav Jaguste, had five sections: Open Monochrome, Open Colour, Nature, Photo Travel and Photojournalism. About 6,000 entries were received from 423 photographers from 36 countries. The judging of the entries was done by Anil Risal Singh, Subhash Jirange, Venkateswarlu Kola and Mayuresh Moghe.
