From standard definition, we moved on to High Definition and then to Full High Definition. 4K is now common, and soon we will be moving to 6K and 8K. High Dynamic Range adds to brightness levels and produces richer colours. Still photography seems to be missing out on this revolution. Born in February 1950, Swaranjeet Singh lived in Delhi for 35 years. In 1985, he moved to Bombay to set up a public limited company as Chief Executive for Supreme Industries, and in 1991, he set up Multibase India Limited, now owned by Dow Corning. In 2005, he decided to retire after a very hectic 20 years as CEO/MD and decided to have a life. Dibyendu Das, EFIAP, FFIP Right from his childhood, Dibyendu Das loved nature. Coming from a middle-class family, good equipment and photo tours were beyond his reach. In his early forties, he had a chance to visit Andaman where he captured some images using his mobile phone. Later on he managed to procure a Nikon D90. He currently uses the D90 and a D750. Most serious photographers shoot in Raw. Most photographers, by now, know reasonably well how to edit their Raw files. What many don’t know is that not all the settings that you configure on your camera are enabled when you shoot in Raw. Here are some settings that are not affected when you shoot in Raw. Picture styles Picture Styles only affect your JPEG files. (They are known by different names by different camera manufacturers. Canon: Picture Styles. Nikon: Picture Control. Fujifilm Announces Instax mini LiPlay Fujifilm has announced the Instax mini LiPlay, a hybrid instant camera that allows you to review photos captured on the device via the rear 2.7-inch LCD monitor and choose which images you want to print.
