Tamron has announced the launch of the Sony E-mount model 18-300 mm f/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD (Model B061), an all-in-one zoom lens for APS-C mirrorless cameras. The lens covers a wide zoom range from approximately 27 mm to 450 mm in full-frame equivalent focal length. The lens features a 16.6x zoom ratio and its AF drive system uses Tamron’s VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor focus mechanism. It comes with an MOD (Minimum Object Distance) of 0.15 m at the 18 mm wide end and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2. Venus Optics has announced the release of the Piano White coloured version of Laowa 9 mm T2.9 Zero-D Cine lens for Canon RF mount and OOOM 25-100 mm T2.9 Cine lens. The Laowa OOOM 25-100 mm T2.9 Cine includes a default Arri PL mount with Canon EF and Sony E mount bayonets for interchange. A Canon RF mount bayonet is exclusively added in the piano-white version of the OOOM lens. TTartisan has released the details of the 40 mm f/2.8 Macro, a 1:1 macro lens for APS-C cameras. According to the teaser, the macro lens is fully manual and is constructed of 8 elements in 7 groups, that include 2 low-dispersion elements. The teaser video also suggests that the lens will have an aperture range of f/2.8 to f/16, feature a 52 mm front filter thread and a minimum focussing distance of 17 cm. Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) and Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEEL) have announced that they have entered into an exclusive, non-binding Term Sheet to combine both companies’ linear networks, digital assets, production operations and program libraries. The non-binding Term Sheet provides an exclusive negotiation period of 90 days during which ZEEL and SPNI will conduct mutual diligence and negotiate definitive, binding agreements. The combined company would be a publicly listed company in India and will reportedly, be better positioned to lead the consumer transition from traditional pay TV into the digital future. Fujifilm has announced the launch of Revoria PC 1120, a production colour printing press for the high-end professional printing market. The Revoria PC 1120 can print up to 6 colours simultaneously. The Revoria PC 1120 comes equipped with a one-pass, six-colour print engine, up to two special toners such as gold, silver, clear, white, pink and textured that can be used in addition to the basic CMYK toners. These toners enable the printing of metallic colours, pop ups and creates overlays and underlays of designs by mixing special colours with CMYK in addition to getting natural skin textures. Nikon has announced the release of the Nikkor Z 40 mm f/2, a compact and lightweight prime lens for Nikon full-frame cameras. The lens measures 45.5 mm long and weighs approximately 170 g, with a versatile 40 mm standard angle of view. The focal length becomes 60 mm (equivalent to 35 mm [135] format) when mounted on a DX-format camera. It has a minimum focussing distance of 0.29 m, features a 9-blade iris diaphragm (round-shaped bokeh) and is dust and drip-resistant. Panasonic has purchased the remaining 80% of shares of Blue Yonder, adding to the 20% which it had acquired in July, 2020. The investment values Blue Yonder at USD 8.5 billion.
